The Article 29 Working Party (WP29) has adopted and will soon publish its guidelines on data breach notifications and profiling, which will be open for public consultation for six weeks before their final adoption.
Guidelines on consent, transparency, and update of data transfer tools, will be adopted between November 2017 and February 2018. Discussions are still ongoing with regards to certifications and relevant guidelines should be soon released.
The WP29 has also adopted guidelines – to be published soon – on administrative fines, dealing with the application and the setting of sanctions under the GDPR. Finally, the WP29 worked on the organization and structure of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) and of the cooperation system, to be ready for May 2018.
