The Firm, with a team coordinated by Rocco Panetta, supported by Marco Lauricella and Federico Sartore, assisted LeasePlan group in the context of a complex procedure of authorization of the BCR (‘Binding Corporate Rules’) of LeasePlan Group on behalf of LeasePlan Italy.
The procedure, made up of several steps of interaction and dialogue with the Italian Data Protection Authority (the ‘Garante’), has also involved the participation of the Italian Legal Department of the Group, led by Giulio Foldes.
The authorization allows the Italian company to benefit froma regime of free circulation of employee, customer and business partners’ data within the Group. The operation perfectly fits the current scenario, characterized by data driven forms of business, based on international data flows.
